The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office reports a suspected drug trafficker was taken into custody Wednesday following an investigation into a domestic disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to the 2300 block of Redwood Road approximately four miles southeast of Guthrie Center in response to the complaint and took 43-year-old Robert James Fuller of rural Guthrie Center into custody for first-offense domestic abuse assault. While investigating the incident, authorities located evidence of drug activity inside Fuller’s residence. Law enforcement executed a search warrant and located more than 40 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, three firearms and signs of drug dealing. As a result, Fuller is also charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine over five grams, a class B felony, drug tax stamp violations, a class D felony, keeping a premises for controlled substance usage, an aggravated misdemeanor, first-offense possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Guthrie County Sheriff, Marty Arganbright, says, “This significant seizure of methamphetamine and firearms demonstrates the commitment of the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office to keep Guthrie County safe.” The Panora Police and Fire Departments, Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Guthrie County K9 Unit also assisted at the scene.
