The Black Hawk Men’s Club announced today (Wednesday) they have postponed Saturday’s 32nd annual Arctic Open due to the Blizzard Warning forecast on Thursday. According to Club Vice President, Matt Riedell, organizers are concerned the wintry weather will prevent them from properly preparing the ice for the competition. The Arctic Open will now be held on Saturday, Feb. 20. Registration is $25 per person, and teams can still register in advance using the Black Hawk Men’s Club Facebook page or by calling 515-231-2408. Same-day registration will be in Town Bay from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Teams are scheduled to tee-off in a shotgun start on the lake at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 20.
