A Coon Rapids man has been charged with an assault following an investigation by the Coon Rapids Police Department. On Thursday, Jan. 7, 19-year-old Bryce Calvin Block was issued a summons to appear in connection to a Jan. 3 incident. Carroll County District Court records allege Block traveled to the 400 block of Sumpter Avenue and approached the victim, who was sitting in the driver’s seat of his car. He is accused of striking the victim in the face at least twice. Block is charged with assault, a simple misdemeanor, and is scheduled to make his initial appearance in court on Thursday, Jan. 21.
