The Sac City Police Department has received special kits from the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation to aid law enforcement in calming children who have experienced a traumatic event. On Tuesday, officers were presented 15 Henry’s Heroes Law Enforcement Comfort kits. Each kit contains items such as blankets, pacifiers, stuffed animals, activity kits and other similar materials. The compact kits will be added to officers’ equipment for distribution to children in distress while they are out on patrol.
