Clarence Krause of Illinois, formerlly of Lake City

Clarence Krause, 84, formerly of Lake City, died peacefully Sunday November 22, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones after his courageous battle with lung cancer. Graveside
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Lake City Cemetery, Lake City. A public come and go viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. on Friday, November 27th at Lampe-Powers Funeral Home in Lake City. Masks are required and only 15 people at a time can be present inside the funeral home.
Clarence Dean Krause, Sr. was born on November 22, 1936 in Sherwood, Iowa to August and Lucille (Gilliland) Krause. After graduating from high school, Clarence joined the United States Air Force in 1956 and served in Thule, Greenland. On November 2, 1958, Clarence married Jule Krohn. During their marriage, they raised a family of five children and later in their lives, the couple then divorced.
Clarence was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to everyone. He absolutely loved to dance and karaoke as these were by far some of his favorite memories with friends and family over the years. He also had a special place in his heart for all animals, especially his beloved pets throughout his lifetime. He had quite a sense of humor and loved to tease, his eyes would twinkle and be followed with a wink when he was doing so!
Clarence is survived by his children Nancy Diedrick (William), Kathy Storbeck (Tom), Becky Tribe (David), Clarence Krause, Jr. (Kimberly) & Tim Krause (Tiffanie); grandchildren Shane Diedrick (Elizabeth), Sarah Hise (Joe), Nina Diedrick (Nico), Nicholas Diedrick (Alexa), Heather Williams (Mike), Christopher Storbeck (Jennifer), Melissa Kasal (Derek), Patrick Tribe, Jacob Tribe, Brianna Giles (Bobby), Devon Krause, Lauren Krause, Kaeli Krause, Amber Krause & Remington Krause; great-grandchildren William, Aiden, Evan, Kathrine, Becca, Anna, Alyssa, Angelo, Mason, Ashley, Russell, Alexander, Logan, Mason, Carter, Bella, Kennick, Zoey, Gage, Ryder, & Parker; great-great-grandchildren Andromeda and Aria; and sisters Mable Vetter & Carol Jean Erritt (John).
He was preceded in death by his parents August and Lucille Krause; brothers Harold, George, Raymond, Clifford & Melford Krause and sisters Lena Knight, Delores Morrow, Rachel Krause & Minnie Van Ahn.
