No injuries were reported following a motor vehicle accident Thursday afternoon near the Highland Township Cemetery that damaged several gravestones. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident near the intersection of Jay and 140th Streets at approximately 12:09 a.m. Authorities say 38-year-old Alisa Olson, of Churdan, was traveling east on 140th in a 2013 Ford Explorer and was attempting to pass an eastbound garbage truck. As Olson passed, the truck started to turn, forcing her to enter the north ditch and cemetery. She collided with four headstones causing and estimated $8,000 in damage to the markers and $8,000 to the SUV.
