Clean Agent Fire Suppression System And Nov. 3 Election Canvass On The Agenda For Monday’s Carroll County Supervisors Meeting

The Nov. 3 election canvass and continued discussions on a clean agent fire suppression system in the new jail are on the agenda for next week’s Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting. IT Technician, Dalton Morrison, is expected to bring a new quote for the approximately $30,000 system to county officials at the start of Monday’s meeting. Unlike traditional suppression methods, a clean air system uses gas instead of water to extinguish fires in an effort to avoid damaging expensive electronic components. The board will then review and approve plats and payables before moving into a housing grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA). They will examine a technical services contract, sub-recipient agreement, signature authorization and certificate of compliance as required steps for approval. The board will close the meeting with the official canvass of Carroll County’s Nov. 3 election results and reports from committees. The Monday, Nov. 9 meeting begins at 2 p.m. at the meeting room at the courthouse. The proceedings will be livestreamed via YouTube. Details on how to attend remotely can be found included below.
