Several thousand dollars in damages were reported following a single-vehicle accident Monday morning in Jefferson. The Jefferson Police Department was contacted at approximately 9:42 a.m. by Dalton Ostrander, who reported the incident occurred while he was driving his 2001 Ford F250 in the 900 block of West Central Avenue. He told law enforcement he had lost control of the truck and struck a utility pole, causing an estimated $7,500 in front-end damages. No damage was reported to the pole, but Alliant Energy was contacted to conduct an inspection. Ostrander was cited for failure to maintain control.
