Carroll County Public Health Records Ninth Coronavirus-Related Death Monday

The ninth Carroll County coronavirus-related death was recorded today (Monday). According to public health officials, the individual was in the 80 years or older age category. As of 11 a.m., Carroll County stands at 1,024 total cases since the beginning of the pandemic, 632 of which are listed as recovered, with a 19% two-week positivity rate. In the remainder of the listening area: Audubon stands at 128 cases, 65 recovered and one death with a 6.1% positivity rate; Calhoun 259 cases, 218 recovered, three deaths and a 7.9% rate; Crawford 1,306 total, 1,004 recovered, 12 deaths and a 16% rate; Greene 171 cases, 93 recovered at 6.5%; Guthrie 367 total, 224 recovered and 14 deaths at 14%; and Sac 361 total, 219 recovered and three deaths with a 10.7% positivity rate. Testing remains available in the region through TestIowa at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll and the St. Anthony Clinic in Denison or through your primary care physician. Public health officials continue to stress the importance of wearing a face covering while in public, maintaining at least six feet or more of social distance and washing your hands frequently.
