Oct. 20 Trial Scheduled For Man Accused Of 2015 Burglaries In Templeton And Dedham

A Cherokee man believed to be responsible for a series of burglaries in Carroll County five years ago has been scheduled for trial later this month. According to court records, 30-year-old Shawn Edward Boger faces four counts of third-degree burglary, class D felonies with habitual offender enhancements, for allegedly breaking into Donna’s Café and the Southside Lounge in Dedham and The Still and Irlmeier Paint in Templeton in August 2015. Each count carries a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison and $7,500 in fines. Boger is currently in custody at the North Central Correctional Facility in Rockwell City for his involvement in the burglary spree that spanned three states and will be transported to Carroll County on Oct. 20 by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office for the trial. If found guilty, up to 20 years could be added to his existing sentence.
