No injuries were reported following an early Sunday morning accident in Greene County that left a vehicle totaled. At approximately 12:07 a.m., the Greene County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the scene of a vehicle fire near the intersection of U Avenue and 250th Street about three miles south of Grand Junction. According to authorities, 57-year-old Curt Bronnenburg of Perry was traveling southbound on U Avenue in a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette when a deer entered the roadway. He swerved to avoid the impact and entered the east ditch where the vehicle caught on fire. Bronnenburg did not report any injuries, but the Corvette sustained severe damage as a result of the fire. The Grand Junction Fire Department assisted at the scene.
