The two-week COVID-19 positivity rate continues to fall in Carroll County, at 12.2 percent as of 6 a.m. Monday morning. This also drops the county in the rankings, now sitting at 22nd. Three other area counties have rates above Carroll. Crawford remains higher up in the rankings at fifth with a 19.5 percent rate while Sac County is ninth with a 16.5 percent rate and Audubon is 15th at 15. 1 percent. Carroll County has 675 positive cases with 392 considered recovered and five deaths recorded since the onset of the pandemic. There are a total of 278 active cases in the county. In the remainder of the region: Crawford County is reporting 1,092 positive cases with 825 recovered, five deaths with 262 active cases; Sac is at 258 positives and 116 recovered with 142 active cases; Guthrie County reports 245 positives, 170 recovered, six deaths and 69 active; Calhoun is at 185 positives, 162 recovered, three deaths and 20 active; Greene has 101 positives, 53 recovered and 48 active cases; and Audubon County has 82 positives, 37 of which are recovered and one death for a total of 44 active cases. There remains only one long-term care facility in Carroll County that has reported an outbreak. Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids has a total of 17 positive cases with 12 of those listed as recovered. As of Monday morning, Iowa’s total number of positives reached 86,662 with 66,165 recovered and 1,316 deaths for a total of 19,181 active cases.
