No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 30 near Scranton on Saturday afternoon. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reports they responded to the intersection with E Avenue at approximately 1:53 p.m. A 2018 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by 61-year-old Margaret Hamilton of Jefferson, was southbound on E Avenue and stopped at the posted sign. Eighteen-year-old Austin Hulsing of Carroll was northbound in a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu and also stopped at a sign. Both vehicles proceeded at the same time and collided. There was an estimated $8,000 in damages to the Cruze and $2,500 in damages to the Malibu.
