The Kuemper Catholic School System has put out guidelines for attendance of extra-curricular activities. High School Principal, Pete Haefs, says the goal is to create “the safest possible scenario for students, staff and spectators.” Attendance will be limited at all events based on the facility and the needs for social distancing. Kuemper will provide tickets to opposing schools and their administration will determine how they are to be distributed. Home spectators will also be limited on a per-student ticket basis. All spectators will be required to show a school-issued ticket in order to pay admission at the gate. Volleyball athletes, coaches and managers will receive two tickets each for regular games. Each team in the Sept. 8 triangular will receive two tickets per athlete, coach and manager. There will be no spectators allowed for junior high volleyball matches due to limited gym space. For football games, each player, manager, statistician and coach will receive four tickets and spectators can sit only in marked spots. ALL students, staff and spectators are required to wear a protective face covering for admission to any Kuemper Catholic event, whether it is indoors or outdoors. For football games, the only time face masks can be removed is while seated. The administration will be establishing a home student section, details on that will be outlined at a later date. Livestreaming of events will be done to assist in the ability to physically distance. Volleyball games will be broadcast on Kuemper’s YouTube channel while football games will be streamed by Carroll Broadcasting with home games as video and audio and away games as audio only.
