Only minor injuries were reported in a rollover accident near Glidden on Monday evening. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on Timber Avenue at approximately 7:51 p.m. A 2014 Chevrolet Sonic was being driven northbound by 18-year-old Dominin Jonathan James Wiley of Carroll whey he drifted off onto the right-hand shoulder and lost control. In an attempt at evasive action, Wiley hit the gas instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to enter the southbound lane and then the west ditch, where it rolled multiple times before coming to rest on the driver’s side. Wiley and his passenger, a 17-year old male, both complained of suspected minor injuries but neither was transported for treatment. There was an estimated $15,000 in damage to the Sonic and Wiley was cited for failure to maintain control.
