A Carroll man faces charges in District Court for Carroll County for allegedly slashing the tire on a car following a dispute with the vehicle’s owner. According to court records, 45-year-old Eric Stephan Pierson was issued a summons to appear by the Carroll Police Department on one count of fifth-degree criminal mischief, a simple misdemeanor. An affidavit from law enforcement claims Pierson stabbed a knife though the tire of a car parked in the 500 block of North Court Street at approximately 4:45 a.m. on July 9. Authorities say Pierson had gotten into an argument with the owner earlier in the day and was seen on video exiting his apartment and kneeling next to the victim’s car. His initial appearance is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20.
