The Carroll County Republican Party delegates have announced their nominations for the Carroll County Treasurer and Carroll County Supervisor District 1 positions following a special meeting Tuesday night. Party Chair, Craig Williams, says this was necessary as there were no primary candidates for either seat.
Wes Thelen of Carroll had withdrawn his name from consideration prior to Tuesday night’s vote. Williams says he was pleased with the interest shown in serving in District 1 with the upcoming retirement of Supervisor Neil Bock. It was a long history of attending those meetings and more that gave Johnson the edge.
There were no other individuals seeking the nomination for Carroll County Treasurer. Carroll Broadcasting has reached out to both Wagner and Johnson and will bring you more from them in upcoming newscasts.
