Carroll had 13 hits and scored 4 runs in both the 3rd and 5th inning in picking up their 5th win of the season. Coon Rapids Bayard finished with 4 hits and minus 3 errors played pretty well defensively. The win moves Carroll to 5-8 while Coon Rapids Bayard slips to 3-14.
Vanessa Ayala and Brielle Hinners singled for Carroll in the 2nd and sandwiched a double by Sydney Haakenson that scored a pair of runs. Ayala came up big again in the 3rd with a 2-run home run over the left field fence. Carroll scored the first four batters in the 3rd forcing Coon Rapids Bayard to make a pitching change. Lexie Davis came in and settled things down for a bit.
Crusaders Cora McAlister singled in the 1st and Lacie Davis singled in the 2nd but they finally broke through in the 4th. Emma Hart led off the inning with a single followed by a single from Alexa Culbertson. Hart scored the Crusader run on a passed ball. Coon Rapids Bayard had two on with walks in the 5th but unable to score.
Carroll ended the game in the 5th on a base hit by Chloe Gallegos scoring Josie Ayala from 2nd. Ayala had reached on a double. Hannah Jorgensen singled and Ava Gross reached on a fielder’s choice and both scored in the 5th.
Gallegos led the Tigers attack with 3 hits, Josie and Vanessa Ayala, Sydney Haakenson and Brielle Hinners all had 2 hits. Haakenson picked up the win.
Emma Hart, Alexa Culbertson, Cora McAlister and Lacie Davis had base hits for the Crussaders.
Carroll will host Winterset on Wednesday. Crusaders wrap up the regular season on Friday at Panorama.

Audubon won their 9th game of the season as Leah Subbert led the way with 4 hits. The Wheelers had to rally after South Central Calhoun came out early and scored 2-runs in the 1st and 4 more in the 2nd to take a 6-5. Audubon settled in defensively and held the Titans scoreless the rest of the game while they added a run in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 2 more in the 6th inning. Kylee Hartl knocked in a run in the 4th inning putting the Wheelers ahead for good.
Subbert finished the night 4-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Katelyn Nielsen went 3-4 with a double and scored 3 times. Jordan Porsch added a triple The Wheelers collected 13 hits as a team. Kali Irlmeier got the win going 5 innings allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits.
The Titans collected 9 hits with Brielle Korleski going 3-4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Madison Schultz picked up 4 RBI with 2 hits and Kinsey Batz and Sally Musselman each finished with 2 hits.
Audubon travels to CAM Anita on Wednesday while South Central Calhoun will host West Bend Mallard.

Kuemper picked up a nice road win on Tuesday as they moved to 6-9 on the season. The Knights used 3 big innings scoring 5 runs in the 2nd, 4th and 7th innings. They collected 18 hits on offense while Chloe Venteicher allowed just 2 hits. The Rams scored 3 of their runs in the 6th.
Jordan Schwabe went 5-5 with a double and 3 RBI. Hailey Ostrander finished 4-5 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Kyndal Hilgenberg and Brianna Lux each had a pair of hits. All nine starters had an RBI. Venteicher went the distance allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run. She struck out 2 and walked 2.
