The City of Coon Rapids will be celebrating a return to shopping this weekend. Main Street Coon Rapids is spearheading the Welcome Back event with a Boulevard Ribbon Cutting at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11. This will also mark the completion of the landscaping recently done in the boulevard median. Following the opening ceremony, attendees can participate in sidewalk sales and special dining experiences until 3 p.m. that afternoon. As shoppers travel through the downtown district, they can pick up a BINGO card at any one of the participating businesses. As purchases are made, squares will be checked off. Once a BINGO is made, the card can be entered into a prize drawing. In an effort to support the safety of retailers and consumers alike, Main Street Coon Rapids has partnered with POET Biorefinery for hand sanitizer and face masks. A special safety station will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Legion building. Anyone can stop in a pick up their free sanitizer and face masks or they can bring their own bottle and have it filled at no cost. A list of participating businesses can be found below.
