Over the course of the holiday weekend, Carroll County positive COVID-19 numbers rose to 99. The age group with the highest numbers in the county are those 18 to 40 at 38 percent, followed closely by 41 to 60 year olds at 32 percent. Of these 99 cases, 73 are categorized as recovered and Carroll County remains at one coronavirus-related death. In the listening area, Crawford County is reporting 678 positive cases as of Monday morning with Guthrie at 66, Sac at 64, Calhoun County 50, Greene 29 and Audubon now at 16. The state of Iowa has 31,611 positive cases reported since the onset of the pandemic. Iowa’s death toll rose to 721 while 24,952 cases are considered recovered.
