Two clerks at fireworks retail outlets in Carroll were issued citations during compliance checks completed by the Carroll Police Department on Wednesday. Both 74-year-old Betty Fay of Lenox, with Wild Willy’s Fireworks on U.S. Highway 30, and 20-year-old Gratt Reed of Atlantic, with KaBoomers on Kittyhawk Avenue, were cited for selling fireworks to a person under 18 years of age.
