No Surprise That COVID-19 Positive Numbers In Area Surge With Opening Of Test Iowa Sites

As was expected with the introduction of additional COVID-19 testing through Test Iowa, Carroll is now recording a spike in positive results. As of 11 a.m. Monday, there are 48 positive cases and one death reported. There have been 1,131 tested with a 4.2 percent positive rate. In the listening area: Crawford County is now reporting 621 positive cases and two deaths; Guthrie at 58 positives and three deaths; Sac County has 38 positives; Calhoun County 24 and Greene County 21; and finally Audubon County has reported 14 positive COVID cases and one death. Iowa is now up to 24,045 positive cases and 653 deaths. Eighty-eight percent of Iowa’s deaths have been adults age 61 and older.
