Work on the Carroll water tower was cut short due to adverse weather last fall, but as crews are getting back to work, the City of Carroll needed to process change order number two. Director of Public Works, Randy Krauel, says a $5,000 charge for an additional city logo is the reason for this order.
This change will bring the total project cost of painting the interior and exterior and installation of a mixing paddle to $596,900. However, JEO Consulting Group has made an offer to the city regarding the logo expense.
Krauel says they expect substantial completion by June 30, which is when they will be able to fill the tower with water again. The leg painting can be done after it is filled and is expected to be completed by July 31.
