The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) reports 312 new COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths were confirmed in the state over the weekend, including an older Crawford County resident. As of April 13, total cases have climbed to 1,710 with 41 coronavirus-related deaths. Eighty-two of Iowa’s 99 counties have now recorded at least one infection since the beginning of the pandemic. The hotspots remain in Linn, Johnson and Polk Counties with 258, 210 and 195 cases, respectively. Three other counties, Scott, Muscatine and Tama, have also surpassed 100 total cases. As for the listening area, Audubon, Carroll, Greene and Guthrie Counties have seen only a single case, and Shelby and Crawford Counties are at six.
