Iowa State Parks Are Still Open, But Refunds On Reservations Are Available

As of mid-week, Iowa’s state parks are open, but the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is sharing some important information. As the health and well-being of visitors, volunteers and employees is their highest priority, they are taking all necessary precautions to make a visit to one of these parks as safe and enjoyable as possible. Visitors will need to adhere to the state proclamation and limit groups to less than 10 people. If you have been sick in the last two weeks, please stay home, avoid popular areas where people may congregate, please maintain the suggested six-foot social distance from others and bring along extra soap or hand sanitizer. The DNR will be waiving cancellation fees for cabins, campsites and lodges for reservations with arrival dates through April 30, 2020. The number to call to make a cancellation can be found below. Additional cleaning procedures have been implemented, the DNR has postponed programs and events through April 30 and will continue to monitor the situation and make changes as deemed necessary.
