Minor injuries were reported in a three-vehicle accident in Carroll Thursday afternoon. The Carroll Police Department responded to the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and Court Street at approximately 4:49 p.m. The initial investigation revealed a 2015 GMC Yukon, driven by 27-year-old Hollie Weltz of Denison, was eastbound on Highway 30. Two other vehicles were also eastbound: a 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, driven by 19-year-old Matthew Brauckman of Carroll; and a 2006 Jeep Cherokee, driven 42-year-old Christy Hansen of Carroll. Hansen failed to slow for the traffic in front of her and struck the rear of the Brauckman car. The impact forced the Monte Carlo into the Weltz SUV. Hansen was cited for failure to maintain control.
