Authorities in Jefferson have opened an investigation into a reported burglary Wednesday evening. The Jefferson Police Department was notified at approximately 7:23 a.m. Thursday by staff at Countywide Electric Service in the 400 block of East Central Avenue that two office computers and power tools had been taken. It is unclear if additional items were stolen during the incident, and the business is conducting an inventory to determine if any other materials are missing. Law enforcement says on-site cameras captured images of a male and a vehicle, and officers are working to identify a suspect.
