As the fear surrounding the global outbreak of a novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19, continues to grow, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) is encouraging Iowans to participate in one of several preparedness webinars being offered next week. Five sessions are available with the information in each tailored to different audiences. The 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. webinar on Monday, March 2 targets hospitals administrators, followed by another from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Iowa’s K-12 schools. The remaining three sessions are planned for Tuesday, March 3, starting with preparedness for Iowa businesses from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sessions for community colleges/universities and childcare centers are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., respectively. Registration is required to participate in the sessions, and links to do so can be found included with this story on our website.
