Carroll Man Arrested For Vehicular Burglary Now Faces Weapon Trafficking Charges

A Carroll man accused of stealing a firearm from a vehicle now faces weapon trafficking charges in District Court for Carroll County. Court documents show 26-year-old Marshawn Glen Shaw was indicted Thursday, Jan. 30 on one count of third-degree burglary-second offense, a class D felony, two counts of trafficking in stolen weapons, class C and D felonies, and control of a firearm by a felon, a class D felony. The charges stem from an incident on Dec. 30 on Randall Road. According to the Carroll Police Department, Shaw entered an unlocked vehicle parked on Randall Road and removed a 9mm Glock handgun and an empty magazine. The stolen firearm was found the next day in the possession of two individuals, who told authorities Shaw had asked them to hold onto it. Shaw’s arraignment hearing is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 10. He remains in custody at the Carroll County jail on a $25,000 surety bond.
