Today (Friday) is the day to give something back to the community, get in some wintertime fitness and view a beautiful holiday display at Swan Lake State Park all at the same time. The Giving Tree Jingle Bell Fun Run/Walk will begin at 5:30 p.m. tonight at the entrance to the Swan Lake Education Center. All that is needed to register is the donation of one new, unwrapped toy per participant. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. tonight. Then, runners and walkers will head east, travel through the Festival of Lights and then back to the education center for refreshments. Those registering today will receive a t-shirt from a previous year while supplies last.
