An unexpected loss of pressure in a segment of the City of Carroll’s water supply has resulted in the issuance of a boil order for a portion of the community’s residents and businesses. Those located along 6th Street from U.S. Highway 71 to Burgess Avenue should boil all water or use bottled water for any activities involving ingestion, including food and ice preparation, brushing of teeth, etc. Water should be boiled for at least one minute to kill any organisms or bacteria that may be present. The system has been repaired and re-pressurized, but the boil order will remain in effect until sample results come back negative. Carroll Broadcasting will notify residents as soon as this is lifted. Anyone with questions can contact Public Works Director, Randy Krauel at 792-1000.
