U.S. Congressman for District 4, Steve King, was in Carroll this week and says he is disheartened to still see major divisions in Washington. He is also unnerved, but not surprised, that the impeachment issue is being faced yet again.
But King was not so quick to shrug that off then. He went so far, he says, as to make a prediction of what the real response from the other side of the aisle would be.
King adds that many Democrats have actually admitted this is for political gain because they cannot beat President Trump at the ballot box; something he says is very, very destructive to our republic. This tactic, however, King says could backfire next November.
The conservative movement is strong, according to King, but the GOP is a minority in the House of Representatives right now. He claims the majority is about to use impeachment as a cudgel, just to beat up on a President they don’t like. Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more from King’s visit in upcoming newscasts.
