The Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA), Iowa Center for Assisted Living (ICAL) and the Iowa Center for Home Care (ICHC) have announced the 2019-20 board officers and directors. The individuals were elected by their peers during the IHCA state convention in Des Moines last week. From local organizations, Steve Fister with the Exira Care Center was named chair of Single Facility Conference for the IHCA executive committee. The Southwest District Chair for the ICAL Board of Directors is Brianne Fister with Gardens Assisted Living in Jefferson and the Vice Chair for the ICHC Board of Directors is Kim Lambert with Carroll Area Nursing Services. These leaders will help formulate the long-range goals and objectives of the associations, which represent nursing homes, assisted living programs and home health care providers across Iowa. “It is an honor to work with such a compassionate and dedicated group of leaders focused on serving others,” says Brent Willett, IHCA President and CEO. “They work every day to help the elderly and most frail residents in their communities. And as a member of our boards, they also share their time, expertise and experience to help ensure all Iowans have access to quality long-term care services.”
