No injuries were reported but conditions were foggy on Monday morning when a two-vehicle accident occurred on U.S. Highway 71. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene near 230th Street south of Carroll at approximately 6:41 a.m. Thirty-eight-year-old Douglas Ryan Stuhr of Glidden was driving southbound on Highway 71 in a 2000 Ford F-250. At that same time, a 2002 Ford Explorer, driven by 39-year-old Wendy A. Eckert of Logan, was traveling northbound and crossed the center line, striking the driver’s side of the Stuhr truck. There was an estimated $3,000 in damage to the F-250 and about $1,000 in damage to the Explorer. Eckert was cited for failure to yield half of the roadway.
