One driver was airlifted to a Des Moines hospital following an accident on Highway 30 in Glidden Friday afternoon. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Carroll County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene at the intersection with Timber Avenue at approximately 3:50 p.m. An as of yet unidentified female was eastbound in a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and turned north onto Timber Avenue into the path of an oncoming semi-tractor trailer. The female was first transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital and later airlifted out. The semi driver was reportedly uninjured.
