An investigation into a report of a stolen paycheck in July has led to a request for arrest warrants. The Jefferson Police Department reports they initiated the investigation on July 24 when the check was reported missing from a location in the 100 block of East Central Avenue. Authorities are now seeking warrants for third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor, and forgery, a class D felony, on 35-year-old Cole Anthony Langford of Des Moines.
