Trial information was filed today (Wednesday) in District Court for Carroll County against a Carroll man accused of having sexual contact with a juvenile girl. According to court records, 19-year-old Devon Dewaine Lentz is formally charged with lascivious acts with a child, a class C felony. The charge stems from an investigation by the Carroll Police Department into an incident on May 6. Authorities say Lentz went to the 12-year-old female victim’s home, kissed her on the lips and engaged in sexual contact. His arraignment hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 22 at the Carroll County Courthouse. A class C felony carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
