A local business that originated in 1938 and has expanded and grown in Carroll, is supporting a critical service for our region. Mike Franey and Terry Axman, owners of Mid-Iowa Insurance and Real Estate, have made a $25,000 pledge to the St. Anthony regional cancer center. President and CEO, Ed Smith, says this donation will have a significant impact on treating cancer patients here in west central Iowa. Franey says that, unfortunately, cancer has touched nearly everyone’s lives. “At Mid-Iowa, we have always considered giving back part of our role in this community. To be able to give to a project that will make such an impact on the lives of our family, friends and fellow citizens of the Carroll area is just the right thing to do,” Franey adds.
