Out of the 39 grant applications received during the 2019 Warren H. Timmerman Charitable Foundation grant cycle, 13 have been selected for awards ranging from just over $550 up to $30,000. In total, this year charitable projects in Manning and Carroll County will share in over $123,000 in funds. The trustee of the foundation, Iowa Savings Bank, must select at least half of the distributions to go to Manning projects and this year it includes: the Manning Betterment Foundation, the Manning Community Foundation, the Manning Heritage Foundation and the City of Manning. Other recipients are: All Strings Attached, the Carroll Area Child Care Center, the City of Carroll, New Hope Village Foundation, St. John Lutheran Church, St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, The Community of Concern food pantry, the City of Coon Rapids and the City of Templeton Fire Department.
