A Manning woman accused of endangering the life of a child by keeping methamphetamine in her home has entered guilty pleas to the charges filed against her. According to Carroll County District Court records, 21-year-old Cassidy Jean Hale submitted her pleas late last week to one count of possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor, and child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. A judge handed down a sentencing order on Wednesday. A three-year prison sentence was suspended, Hale was placed on probation for two years and she was ordered to pay nearly $1,000 in fines, surcharges, court costs and attorney fees. A felony controlled substance violation was also dismissed as part of the agreement. The charges stem from a search warrant executed by the Manning Police Department on Jan. 30 in the 200 block of 3rd Street. Authorities say Hale intentionally placed her three-year-old daughter in danger by leaving broken mirrors on the floor with methamphetamine on the glass.
