Vendors and volunteers are needed for the 2019 Kids Health and Safety Fair, to be held this year during Carroll’s Sesquicentennial celebration. The Saturday, July 20 event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) parking lot in Carroll. This is a great way to get out and help area children learn how to be safe around fire, water, on the farm and in the sun and to have a great time learning about having fun with physical fitness and how to choose tasty, healthy meals and snacks. The free event includes prizes and giveaways and chances for the kids to tour emergency vehicles and farm equipment and to meet members of law enforcement and the fire department. Those interested in hosting a booth are asked to incorporate an educational game. No sales are allowed.
