Storm Lake Authorities Make Multiple Arrests In Two Incidents Related To The Sale Of Drugs

Storm Lake authorities made several arrests related to the sale of narcotics over the weekend. The first originated with a call from a campground manager about rude campers. Officers made contact with 40-year-old William Rysavy and 52-year-old Karen Kleet, both of Storm Lake. In addition to an active protective order, authorities detected the odor of marijuana coming from the RV. A search warrant was requested and executed at which time 40 grams of marijuana, marijuana edibles, a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, including scales, and almost $900 in cash was found. Rysavy and Kleet have been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, marijuana, a class D felony, violation of a no contact order and possession of drug paraphernalia, both simple misdemeanors. They are being held in the Buena Vista County jail without bond. On Saturday, the registered owner of the RV, 21-year-old Dustin Robertson of Storm Lake, was arrested in connection with the investigation. He has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) laboratory analysis results. Then on Sunday, June 2 at approximately 1:38 a.m., an officer on patrol smelled marijuana coming from an apartment. Contact was made with the occupants, 22-year-old Jimenez Parra and 25-year-old Ervin Dewalt, Jr. A warrant was received and a search uncovered baggies of marijuana packaged for sale, paraphernalia and about $4,000 in cash. Both men are charged with possession of a controlled substance, gathering where drugs are used and possession of drug paraphernalia.
