Carroll Man Charged With Public Intoxication Had BAC Nearly Three Times The Legal Limit

A Carroll man was arrested over the weekend after he was found in public with a blood alcohol content (BAC) nearly three times the legal limit. At approximately 4:06 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, an officer with the Carroll Police Department located 20-year-old Jared Andrew Krause stumbling along the side of Highway 71. The officer made contact with Krause and noted he displayed poor balance, bloodshot and watery eyes and smelled of alcohol. He was taken into custody and transported to the Carroll County jail, where a breath test determined his BAC was 0.222. Krause is charged with public intoxication, a simple misdemeanor.
