The Carroll Chamber of Commerce is working on getting more details out about the three days of events for the upcoming Carroll Sesquicentennial. Executive Director, Shannon Landauer, says everyone is invited to get a jump on the weekend activities on Thursday night with an annual downtown promotion that has a 62-year-long history in Carroll.
They are also working to organize a children’s parade on Saturday morning, at 10:30 a.m.
Many other fun activities are planned, including performances of “Beauty and the Beast,” a community picnic, free swimming at the aquatic center, a children’s health and safety fair, fireworks, a car show and the all-star Merchants game to name a few. Prior to the July 19, 20 and 21 celebration, the Chamber is promoting the sale of clothing items and are giving away signs to help everyone recognize the community milestone for the entire year.
The Carroll 150 Facebook page is the best place to keep up with the planning of events for the celebration. A link to that has been included below.
