The community of Jefferson was given the opportunity to purchase their local theater for only $1 in 2012, and since then, volunteers have banded together to keep the Sierra Community Theatre up and running. Manager, Sarah Nicholson, says a board manages the day-to-day operation and they have been completing projects as they are able to raise money. A recent grant partnered with local donations, for example, helped with a much-needed upgrade.

This week, the theatre is hosting another special event, “Let’s Make It Reel” as a combination thank you and fundraiser for future programming.
