Fresh Looks For Spring Are In Store For 10 Paint Iowa Beautiful Local Grant Winners

Ten area projects have been included in the 104 grant awards through Diamond Vogel and Keep Iowa Beautiful’s Paint Iowa Beautiful program. April has been designated as Keep Iowa Beautiful month and this grant program provides free paint to a wide variety of public service projects throughout the state. “The partnership with Keep Iowa Beautiful allows Diamond Vogel to assist and work with many local volunteers that help build communities, making Iowa the number one state in the nation to live,” says Diamond Vogel Vice-President of Marketing, Doug Vogel. Over the course of the 16-year partnership, Diamond Vogel has awarded nearly 10,500 gallons of paint to more than 880 community projects. 2019 awards include paint projects at: Auburn’s Reiman Park Gazebo; the Churdan City Hall and Post Office; Exira’s Salon & American Legion Post; the shower, tables and displays at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds in Guthrie Center; the Russell Park Shelter House in Jefferson; the Leet-Hassler Farmstead at Manning’s Hausbarn-Heritage Park; several Main Street facades in Manson; the Warehouse in Sac City; the Play Country playground in Wall Lake; and the City of Westside maintenance building.
