A 38-year-old Carroll man was arrested after allegedly selling stolen goods to another resident. The Carroll Police Department reports that Joshua Merle Stout was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with fourth-degree theft, a serious misdemeanor. An affidavit states that between July and September of last year on two separate occasions, a Stihl leaf blower and Stihl string trimmer, both valued at more than $200 each, were removed from two different locations. The items were recovered at a Carroll residence, at which time the resident stated he had purchased them from Stout. The witness also said he had purchased other items from the defendant in the past.
