The Carroll County Conservation Board’s Largest Annual Event, The Earth Day Carnival, Returns To Swan Lake Next Weekend

Next weekend is the Carroll County Conservation Board’s largest event of the year, the Earth Day Carnival. Families are invited to the Swan Lake Conservation Education Center to enjoy games, educational programs, and live music from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. In an effort to improve on the event, Naturalist, Matt Wetrich, says the will have new nature-themed games and attractions for this year.

Admission to the carnival is free with a chance for attendees to also win door prizes. According to Wetrich, they will also have several live programs during the event.

Wetrich adds they have three main goals for the Earth Day Carnival: providing a fun, family event, celebrating conservation and fundraising through game tickets and concessions. He says the event is a great way to bring a younger crowd to Swan Lake and foster an interest in nature.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase during the festivities. The Earth Day Carnival will be held rain or shine. For more information, contact the Swan Lake Conservation Center at 712-792-4614.
