A Sac County jailer has been arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance. Sheriff Ken McClure reports that 49-year-old Sara Duncan of Lake View is alleged to have been purchasing a schedule IV controlled substance, Tramadol, from an overseas supplier since October of last year and selling the drug. McClure says nothing uncovered during their investigation indicated Duncan was supplying the drug to inmates. Her employment with the Sheriff’s Office has been terminated and she has been charged with a class C felony for distribution and prohibited acts, a serious misdemeanor. Duncan was held in the Buena Vista County jail on an $11,000 cash bond.
