An Odebolt man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident Saturday on Highway 5 near Knoxville. The Iowa State Patrol reports that at approximately 7:37 a.m., a 1993 Ford Ranger, driven by 33-year-old Christopher Miller of Odeboldt, was attempting to pass a 2017 Ford F-150, driven by 64-year-old Guy Devore of Runnells. The Miller vehicle sideswiped the Devore truck, and then struck the guard wire and rolled multiple times. Miller was ejected from the vehicle and airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines for treatment of injuries. Devore was uninjured in the incident.
